Factory Priming and Finishing

FMI is aware that each customer operates differently with different methods of application, equipment, drying, and storage. The viscosity of our materials is tailored to each of those individual needs. Of the  hundreds of products we make, whether oil or water-based, we are custom balancing the flow and leveling of our paints to the specific needs of the customer.

Our many formulations cover every challenge we face. Whether oil or water-based a tweak here, a special raw material there can make the difference between our customers footage production each day. We have the answers, in an infinite color library.

Do you have an emissions permit, limiting you to a number of VOC’s per day, week, month or year? Our close to Zero latex are less than 2 lb. per gallon VOC oil based per gallon. Oil-based products have allowed our customers to easily meet whatever threshold the authorities require. We know solvents!

Ask any of our existing customers how well we match colors. So perfectly, the human eye cannot detect the difference. We pride ourselves on automotive quality tolerances, not the “close enough” approach. Even though we are providing primers or first coats our batch-to-batch color consistency is the rule.
